Guest Post: Girl Nursey Tour

1

Hi everyone! My name is Sasha and I blog over at The Mushy Mommy, a lifestyle blog on all things wife and mommy. I'm so excited to share my nursery here on Sparkles and Crafts as Jess is one of my dearest bloggy friends. Our babies were born the same week and this is my first child just as Billy is Jess' first baby. What can I say? I LOVE being a mommy -- it's the best job that I've ever had.
 In appreciation of being featured on Sparkles and Crafts,
I'm doing a giveaway on my blog with an advantage for all of you guys!
But more on that later... ;)

My daughter's nursery is the tiniest room you've ever seen (I had little to work with). Hubby and I currently rent so painting the room really wasn't the best option for us (bummer cause I had fun ideas). From the beginning I knew I wanted no "real" theme, just lots of patterns. My colors were picked before I was pregnant - turquoise and white - and I knew I'd just add an accent color depending on gender (pink in my case).

Can you believe that at eight weeks pregnant I already had the bedding and lamp picked out? I can't believe it either. I ordered several things from The Land of Nod and most of the other items came from Etsy. I also wanted a touch of elephants in the room in memory of my granny who adored them. It turns out that my Little Bug loves staring at her elephant canvas art while lying on her changing table. I actually almost returned the artwork because I wasn't sure of it, but it completes the room and it is her favorite! She also loves lying in her crib staring at the mobile that I added in her room.

Her nursery is my favorite room in our home and I adore it; it even smells like her now (yay!). I'm so pleased with the outcome. Even though it's not a big room and I couldn't do all of the fun things that I really wanted to do, I am very pleased with it and she seems to love it. And it was one of the most exciting things to shop for, design and put together. It's perfect for her.  I hope you love it!

{I'm giving away a storage bin like this from
Baffin Bags in your print of choice}

I hope you guys enjoyed my Little Bug's nursery!
As a thank you to all of you fabulous readers, I'm doing a giveaway
of one of my favorite Etsy purchases in her room.
I'm giving away a bin from Baffin Bags in your choice of fabric ($18 value)
and for all of you guys, I'm creating a special entry for Sparkles and Crafts readers.
Thanks so much to Jess for featuring us -- so much fun!

xoxo, Sasha
