Dream Come True: We're Homeowners!

1

Well, we're almost homeowners. Isn't it amazing how when you stop trying to find something, it finds you?

Our new home :)
Thursday morning this home found us, since the dramatic price drop nestled it right into our budget. We saw it yesterday morning and immediately fell in love; BOTH of us. The first home we offered on I loved. The second Bill loved. Third time's the charm :) We negotiated all afternoon and came to a wonderful agreement. If all goes well, this baby is ours to move in to July 9, 2012.

Princess was with us, and I wish I had taken a photo so everyone could see the look on her face when we let her wander the huge (FENCED!) back yard while we looked through the home. She frolicked and pranced, sniffed and wagged, panted and squeaked. It was like she was just as excited to find "her own place" as we were to find ours. The back yard has NO landscaping. HUZZAH!!!!! It's completely and totally ready for us to utilize in whichever way we choose; a true blank canvas! (We're already doodling our garden plans.)

To say we're excited is an understatement. I was up at 6:30 this morning, just elated. I'm arranging the furniture in the rooms in my head, choosing color schemes, picking out flooring (way down the road...). We drove past the home three times yesterday, Bill's parents drove past a few times also. I know my parents will find their way over there as well. It's in a beautiful, older neighborhood with big trees, tons of parks, trails for biking/walking/jogging and......(wait for it)....we are walking distance to the dog park. As if it could get any better for Princess, she will have a REAL dog park to be a member of!!!!!!

The home is outdated, and honestly smells like moth balls right now, but it's beautiful and it's ours. The little outdated touches can be refinished when we're ready and this is a home we can stay in forever, making it "ours" along the way. Regardless of the style, I'm proud to call it our home and I can't wait to have all of our friends over in July after we move in.

Inspection is the next step, pray for good things & a timely close!
