Goal: Handmade Napkin Rings

Well, as you all know the 'fam will be coming over for Mini Thanksgiving this Saturday and while Bill will be busy busy busy with the cooking aspect I would like to (in between helping and hosting, of course) have a little creative flare here & there.

When guests come over, family or not, I like them to at least think that I put forth some kind of effort to make the condo look and feel special for their visit. Last year I kind of whipped something together very quickly & used daisies from a bouquet of flowers Bill got me as napkin rings. It was just enough of a touch that at the time (having only been dating Bill for 2 months) they thought "Awe, that's nice." As I've previously stated: I set myself up last year, so this year...it's got to be better.

I started researching hand made napkin rings and stumbled upon this wonderful blog, Mochatini.

I definitely will be following the blog more closely, but these napkin rings were just the dose of inspiration I needed to whip up some napkin rings for Mini on Saturday. Possibly after wrapping ornaments tonight (and a nap!) I will make a few comps and see which one is the winner. Stay tuned!
