Accomplished: Handmade Napkin Rings

0

I did it! Tonight while plopped in front of the TV watching House and Gossip Girl (I love our DVR) I accomplished another goal: handmade napkin rings.

I have an excessive stash of Swarovski crystal beads that I wanted to put to good use and this was the ideal application. Using some basic floral wire (probably 18 gauge?) I threaded the beads on and looped the wire to tie them shut. I'm very happy with how they came out. I used 15 beads per ring & it came out to the perfect diameter to snuggly wrap around a napkin. I feel so ready for Mini Thanksgiving!!!!

Sorry, I'm not used to the craft-blog thing yet, so I didn't do the ideal DIY Steps in Photos. But, at least I did take a picture! I present to you: My handmade napkin rings.

It was an absolute breeze (once I realized I needed to count how many beads I was threading...instead of worry about Chuck & Blaire...) and actually a lot of fun. Bill claimed that I'm like Martha Stewart. I hope he's partially right...I'd love to be inspiring and wildly creative, I just don't want to go to prison. Cheers!
