Reupholstering Chairs

0

Since I've decided to take a (somewhat) break from house hunting online, I'll be filling my time with more crafts :) Without looking for a home, we won't be moving anytime soon, meaning we get another summer in our awesome condo. Since we'll be here, I'm going to spruce up a bit. Therefore, today I decided to reupholster our dining room chairs! I've wanted a new dining room set for a long time, but we just need to save for our new home as much as we can, plain & simple.

I found a Hobby Lobby 4 miles from work & ran over on my lunch break. I am THRILLED with the fabric I found, it's divine!!! The best part...it was ((drumroll)) $20 total for this project! That's approximately $1,380 in savings than if we had purchased a new trendy dining room set! YAY for saving our money!!

Awesome fabric - I am so in love with it!

Before

Start by removing original upholstery with these
handy tools.

Make sure your critters stay away! Flying staples may occur.

Measure, cut & iron new fabric.

Straighten, staple & TA-DA!

An awesome all-new chair!!
If I am this in love and proud of CHAIRS....I will absolutely be a hot mess when we have children. When I finished the first chair (did 4 tonight) I kept smiling & giggling to myself & saying "I DID THAT!" Nerd? Probably. Proud? Absolutely.

I can't wait to find out what I get inspired to do the rest of the week!!
