The Four Stages of Our Kitchen

0

I'm very glad I've documented our home in photos as much as I have. I don't feel like I ever take enough photos but our kitchen proves I am wrong.

We just had the backsplash done a few weeks ago so I am happy to say, the kitchen is complete (for now!). We always have another project on the "maybe, someday" list, but for now...we're calling it done. Look through the fun stages our kitchen has gone through in the short 1.5 years we've lived here.

When we knew this house was "The One" we came back once with our realtor and took a ton of photos. Here is our kitchen staged to sell with "Old Lady Flair"
In this photo, we had moved in and were just about to paint. The "Old Lady Flair" was gone, but the room begged for color.
Then Hubs painted it "Corn Husk Green". Something about a green kitchen is so exciting and appetizing to me. However, when our new appliances were installed we were missing a little paint on the wall where our old oven used to be....
And now the final stage of the project has been completed. Our dream backsplash and an over-the-range microwave. And the Angels sang.

Every day I walk through our kitchen I think, "Who lives here? This is too nice to be our kitchen" but it's ours!!! I know compared to others we work at a snail's pace, but the end result is still the same. Every baby step we complete helps me feel like this is our home.

I can't wait to show you the basement renovation when it is complete! Hopefully I can snap some progress pics this week when the dust settles :)
