I have been in need of a creative outlet lately, so Friday night my mom and I had our own private "party" (of the two of us) with a Stampin' Up demonstrator I'm friends with from my breastfeeding support group. It was so much fun!! I left Billy home with Hubs and spent the night surrounded by creativity. It was so wonderful!
Pattie demonstrated 4 different cards and all these fun stamps and tools to make our cards really pop.
Since I believe it is impossible to have too many thank you cards on hand, that is the stamp I chose to use but she had a whole set of stamps to choose from! We also embellished the envelopes with Washi tape which I had never thought to to, but I am totally going to do from now on! How fun are they?!
This card was so much fun to see demonstrated. I was pumping at the time, so Pattie assembled my card for me (which is why it's flawless!) She had this amazing die cut that turned a single piece of cardstock into this amazing, 3-dimensional card!!
This is the final card we made, which is a "shaker" card - the little window with Santa has confetti-type pieces that shake around. So cute for Christmas!
Pattie shared this genius idea with us also; if you have a card that is a little too dark to write on, use washi tape and some white stock at a sporty angle on the inside so you have a bright space for your message!
I admittedly went a little wild buying stamps and I can't wait for them to arrive. Billy's baptism is this coming weekend and my stamps should arrive late this week or early next, so I will be later than usual sending out thank you cards, but I will be making them with ALL NEW THANK YOU STAMPS! Can you tell I'm excited?!
I've literally looked for years to find full sets of stamps that say "Thank You" and have never found one I liked. Stampin' Up had TWO! So naturally I ordered both because I couldn't decide. I also ordered a stamp pad and another set of stamps with little sayings on them that I can use for cards. I'm elated!
My mom went wild also, she ordered this amazing tool that guides you in making over 60 sizes of envelopes from cardstock, among other awesome little goodies to scrap and create with. I really wanted the envelope maker too – we used it to make the red envelope for the Santa card. I'm definitely putting it on my Christmas list!
If you are in the area and want to host a really fun night with some girlfriends, reach out to Pattie! You can visit her Facebook Page here to contact her.
To be inspired and find a demonstrator in your area, check out stampinup.com. Their products are easy to use and the best quality I've ever seen in cardmaking/scrapbooking materials – which says a lot because I've been scrapping for YEARS!
Thanks again to Pattie for the fun night of cardmaking!

Looks like so much fun! I have been having the need for creativity in my life lately as well. I thrive on that sort of thing, and haven't done much of it since Mason arrived. I love all of the cards, especially the nautical and Christmas ones!
